Standard specification includes wheels that are handbuilt using 36 hole Mavic Rims on Shimano Deore Hubs.
All frames are fully prepped before we 'dress' the bike. We leave the fork steerer tube uncut and supply enough spacers so that you can experiment with the optimum height for you (we say; the higher the better).
Builds can take upto 2 weeks sometimes less. Timescale depends on what's going on in the workshop but we think that a couple of weeks wait is worth it for this haul-tastic bike.
Please contact us if you'd like any help or advice before buying. We can upgrade most parts of the specification e.g. Brooks leather saddle or North Rounder swept back bars. Why not give it a test ride first? Contact us if you'd like to do this and we'll get the kettle on.

Big Dummy framesets are prepared by Practical Cycles. Bottom Bracket shell is faced & tapped, Headset reamed and faced, Crown Race faced and all boss-threads tapped clean. This saves you about £30 (which is what most workshops would charge to do this). These procedures ensure that your headset and bottom bracket last alot longer and reduces the risk of threads crossing or shearing when installing components etc.
